New York City is unexpected. You never know what you'll come across as you wander the streets. I was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge one very windy Sunday and heading my way was a peaceful Palestinian march. There were so many beautiful and interesting faces and this older man really stood out. He was small in stature and held his head down as he followed the few hundred in front of him. I loved everything about him. His eyes. His beard. The clothes he wore. It showed me there is pride, defiance, and struggle even later on in life.
